Tips from an HVAC specialist to prevent pipes from freezing
MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- A home is for sale, but the realtor won't take cash or check, or even a credit card. To buy the house, you need to use Bitcoin.
Bryan Perl is selling the nearly 100-year-old former elk's lodge for 40 bitcoin. Today, one bitcoin is being traded at the equivalent of over $7,000. The currency was created in 2009 and has grown substantially in value in recent years.
Perl says this requirement could mean a smaller amount of buyers, but he's confident he can sell it.
"I'm a believer in Bitcoin... buying and selling and creating wealth with other assets," said Perl.
Experts say Bitcoin can be risky to hold as it's value is volatile from day to day.
