Local Leader to Host Black History Month Read In

February is Black History Month and in honor of that, Milwaukee Public Libraries are taking part in the National African American Read In. This is the 27th year for it.
Alderwoman Milele Coggs is hosting the event at the Martin Luther King Library Branch. The goal is to make the celebration of African American literacy a traditional part of Black History Month activities.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children. There will be giveaways, refreshments, and an appearance by Bango from the Milwaukee Bucks. The "Read In" starts at 5:30 Tuesday night.
