Local High School Students Dance Night Away at Senior Prom

Senior prom can be nerve racking, especially when it's a blind date. Yet some two dozen local high schoolers gave it a go tonight.

Seniors with Marquette University High and Divine Savior Holy Angels High School met seniors at the St. Anne's Center.

St. Anne’s Center provides a wide range of services for older folks.

This is the fourth year for the event which was lively and engaging.

Students were a quick study in maneuvering the wheelchairs on the dance floor.

Nobody let age get in the way of having a good time.

“My 105 year old friend talked me into coming,” said one attendee.

Prom goers could pose for pictures in a tiara or crown and drink sparkling grape juice to their fill. Sunflower corsages were handed out and everybody seemed quite pleased with their partners for the night.

When we last saw them, they were still “Rolling out the Barrel” at St. Anne's in Milwaukee on Friday.
