MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Judy Cohen of Lakeside Educational Services answered parent questions on education when she joined us on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
She addressed 504 plans, IEP paperwork timelines and strategies to improve math skills.
Cohen explained that 504 plans provide accommodations in general education but do not include special education services, and she recommended parents receive IEP paperwork within three to five days and suggested using math games, packets and step-by-step techniques for problem-solving.
For concerns with teaching methods, she advised contacting teachers for example sheets and clarifying key terminology.
