MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- February is recognized as Canned Food Month and one local dietitian is advocating for canned foods as part of recognizing the importance of Canned Food Month.
Becky Kerkenbursh, a registered dietitian at Watertown Regional Medical Center, joined us on Monday, Feb. 20 to discuss her belief that canned foods can be a great addition to a healthy diet, as they are both nutritious and convenient.
Additionally, as canned foods are often more affordable than fresh or frozen options and can last for an extended period, they can be a practical option at the grocery store.
More information can be found by visiting the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at EatRightWisc.org.
