Local businesses close for May Day March

The march today is also aimed at fortifying support for unions and worker rights issues.

May Day has now become International Workers Day. Organizers are urging immigrant-owned businesses to close up shop. The same is happening in Milwaukee.

\"We're privileged to own a business but the success of our business is because of our employees many of who are Latinx, and we want to support them any way we can. We are turning away some dollars but we hope we are doing the right thing for our employees and the larger community,\" said Ryan Clancy with Bounce Milwaukee.

Voces De La Frontera bussed in marchers from 12 cities across Wisconsin from Janesville to Green Bay to Madison.
