Local Art Show to Benefit Wisconsin Humane Society

A Milwaukee pet lover's personal passion project comes to life today.

Dan Augustine has created an art show inspired by the dog he adopted from the Wisconsin Humane Society.

The project is called "The Sofie Show." Three years ago Sofie was a stray who was set to be euthanized, but Augustine and his wife came to the rescue and adopted her.

Augustine's project features more than 100 pieces of pet-centric art you can buy. Many of the pieces are his, but other local and even international artists are featured, too.

You can check out the show from 6 until 9 tonight at Zizzo Group in downtown Milwaukee.

All proceeds will benefit the Wisconsin Humane Society.
