Local animal rescue group seeks volunteers to coordinate upcoming special events

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A local animal rescue group is seeking volunteers to coordinate upcoming special events.

Milwaukee Pets Alive (MPA) is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue that focuses on saving animals in our community with special needs and considerations. They're currently looking for nine special event coordinators to fill their special events team.

The nonprofit says these events are important to help raise funds for animals currently being fostered, and to raise awareness about their organization. The group has also announced future plans to build a sanctuary.

MPA says they're looking for individuals committed to planning and managing at least one event per year, under the direction of the special events team. 

Previous experience is not required.
