GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man who built a custom piece of furniture for a famous Packers fan got a video shout-out Sunday.
Gib Fortune created a sofa in Green Bay colors with custom stitching, LED lights and compartments for champagne bottles.
He did it in hopes of giving it as a gift to the rapper Lil Wayne, who’s publicized his Green and Gold fanhood.
Fortune hauled the sofa to Lambeau Field Sunday where Wayne was in attendance.
The rap superstar saw it and made a video about it, saying “I got to shout out my man Gib for the sofa. Can’t wait to get it in my man cave. I got a Green Bay man cave so I need that sofa.”
Fortune says being recognized in the video was surreal.
“It was like a miracle to me,” he said. “Something that I never expected in my wildest dream. This is one of my favorite rappers in the world and he’s mentioning my name and making the public know how excited he is about this project, so I was very happy.”
CBS 58 put Fortune in touch with the NFL, and he says they’re working together to ship the sofa to Wayne.
