Lightning strike causes $440,000 in damages to Town of Middleton home

Photo via: WISC/CBS Newspath DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Town of Middleton home is a total loss after a fire caused by a lightning strike.
Police and fire were called to a home in the 4500 block of Ellington Way in the Town of Middleton around 2:02 p.m. on Tuesday.
The home was a total loss and the estimated value of the damage is in excess of $440,000.
The initial investigation revealed that the cause was a lightning strike. There were no injures.
