Light showers return Wednesday afternoon into Thursday
We've had a nice stretch of weather to dry out after last week's heavy rain, but more rain is on the way. A low pressure system to our west will slowly track across the Great Lakes region over the next two days.
A few isolated showers may move in as soon as early afternoon today, but the main window for light rain is between 5pm and midnight.
We'll likely see some dry time overnight into Thursday, but showers will become more numerous Thursday afternoon.
Rain will thankfully be much lighter than what we saw last week with about .10-.25" expected today through Thursday. Locally higher amounts are possible in any Thursday afternoon downpours.
A more active weather pattern looks to set up for the second half of the month, so expected more rain events to traverse the state. The 6 to 10 day precipitation outlook favors above normal rainfall for a large section of the country.
Temps will generally be in the mid 50s to low 60s, but a few warmer days are possible middle of next week as well. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the incoming rain.
