CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee business owner wants to open a CBD dispensary in Cedarburg’s downtown district, but the license was denied.
The owners of Erth Dispensary spoke to the Common Council on Monday evening. They say they’ve already invested $10,000 into their shop before finding out the city isn’t comfortable with CBD shops in the historic downtown.
“I hope that they see the effort that we have put through to voice a respect for the historical downtown district,” Erth dispensary owner Jennifer Kawczynski said.
The council voted unanimously to reject the proposal. The council is considering allowing CBD dispensaries in other parts of the city.
