MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – State Senator Lena Taylor will be cited after an incident at a Milwaukee bank on April 6.
Taylor’s attorney tells CBS 58 he’s in the process of obtaining the video.
Taylor was at the bank to see if a check from a tenant was still good. He says the Senator was accused of using racist language during a disagreement about her signing the back of the check. That’s when police showed up.
“Prior to today, they reviewed the police report, reviewed the disks and mad the decision to formally charge my client with disorderly conduct,” said Vince Bobot, Sen. Taylor’s attorney.
Neither Milwaukee Police nor the bank, Wells Fargo, have commented on the situation.
