MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some local businesses are still seeing the effects of the pandemic.
Between COVID-19 cases rising and people still receiving unemployment benefits, many are choosing not to work right now.
Lazo's Taco Shack says they've been impacted by the trend, and now the restaurant is only doing carryout services.
One customer we spoke with was sad to see the business without customers dining inside.
"I am so sad that it looks like this," said customer Rosa Samarripa. "I mean we always come in and look for the waitresses we like and look for him because when we come here, it's a good feeling, good vibe. And to see this, it feels like the pandemic started all over again in here."
The owners of Lazo's Taco Shack say they appreciate customers' support and hope to reopen fully once they have more staff.
Lazo's says if you're looking for work, give them a call.
