Law enforcement searching for suspects who fired shots, led police on pursuit near 16th and North

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for the suspects who fired shots from their vehicle before leading authorities on a pursuit.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputies were near 17th and North around 10 p.m. on Monday when they saw a black Nissan make a left turn through a red light.

As the Nissan drove on N. 16th Street, several shots were fired from the inside of the vehicle.

Deputies activated their emergency lights as more rounds were fired from inside the Nissan.

With deputies in pursuit, the Nissan fled westbound to an alley between N. 23rd Street and N. 24th Street, where the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

A perimeter was established and a search for the subjects was conducted by Milwaukee Police Department and MCSO personnel, with negative results.
