"Last laugh will be ours come football season:" Workers paint 'Go Lions' along side of water tower in northern Wisconsin city

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A small city in Outagamie County is having some fun when it comes to showing team spirit.

The Kaukauna Police Department took to social media to point out that some workers who were painting the water tower on the north side of the city of Kaukauna were 'having a little fun at our expense.' 

Along the side of the water tower, the message 'Go Lions' can be read.

The Police Department posted that it's great to have some humor in the world these days and that they wish the Lions the best of luck but 'the last laugh will be ours come football season.' 

Kaukauna is a little over 20 miles away from Green Bay.
