Lake Geneva Motorcycle Crash Seriously Injures Passenger

LAKE GENEVA - A motorcycle crash in Lake Geneva ended with Flight for Life being requested. It all started yesterday evening around 7:30 p.m. when an officer observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on North Edwards Boulevard.

Shortly after, the officer found that the motorcycle crashed at the intersection of North Edward's Boulevard and Sheridan Springs Road. The operator of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old man, fled from the scene on foot. His 22-year-old female passenger was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She is now listed in stable condition.

The driver, Patrick Robert Francis Garcia, was located a short time later. He was booked into the Walworth County Jail. Garcia faces charges for vehicle operator fleeing an officer causing great bodily harm, reckless driving, endangering safety, and operating a motorcycle without a valid license.

Police believe speed and fleeing from an officer are the main factors of the crash.
