COMO (CBS 58)--I spent Monday morning surveying the damage in Geneva Township, more specifically, Como. Block after block and street after street you see so many toppled trees and downed powerlines. What I witnessed was the fury of Mother Nature. 100 mph winds in fact as deemed by the National Weather Service. These were straight-lined winds, not the work of a tornado. But the result was just as devastating. The homeowners I spoke with tell me it looks like a war zone. This is where homeowner's insurance is so vital. At least folks have a few days of nice weather to clean up their yards, homes, and businesses.
