Lake Andrea Beer Garden scheduled to open in Pleasant Prairie

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A new venue for community gatherings and summer relaxation is set to open its doors in Pleasant Prairie.

Lake Andrea Beer Garden is scheduled to open on Thursday, June 1 on the shores of Lake Andrea.

Mike Grab, one of the operators, shared his vision for the project in a Thursday, May 25 press release.

"Our goal has always been to build a tight-knit community. A simple joy in life is a cold drink on a hot summer day."

The beer garden will operate from 4 - 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 12 - 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until early autumn, with the potential for extended hours during special events.

Residents and visitors can anticipate a selection of craft beers, wines and non-alcoholic beverages. Live music, food trucks and special events are planned for the summer season.
