WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Labor Day golf outing pays tribute to America's military veterans.
The annual Patriot Golf Day at The Legend at Merrill Hills brings in tens of thousands of dollars for charities supporting veterans.
This year, teams raised money for the Milwaukee-area chapters of Fisher House and Folds of Honor.
Both charities support families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives while serving in the line of duty.
"Well it's important to our club to recognize what our military has, and constantly does, for us and what their families sacrificed for us and our military," said David Bobber, director of golf at The Legend clubs.
Organizers say the teams raised upwards of $60,000 Monday, Sept. 7.
That money will be split between Fisher House and Folds of Honor.
