La Casa de Esperanza hires interim principal

La Casa de Esperanza selected an Interim Principal to lead the La Casa de Esperanza Charter School in Waukesha.  

She will be leading the school beginning Monday, August 31.  

The La Casa de Esperanza Charter School is a full-service, independent charter school that was established to address the academic achievement gap faced by low income students and children of color.  


 “We are very excited to announce that Ms. Kristy Casey, who was acting as Chairperson for the La Casa de Esperanza Charter School Board, has accepted the role of Interim Principal for the La Casa de Esperanza Charter School,” Anselmo Villarreal, La Casa’s President and CEO said.  


 Kristy Casey has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and History from Elmhurst College in Illinois, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Emphasis on Charter School Administration from Louis University.


Casey has seven years’ experience teaching elementary school and was a founding member of the Wauwatosa STEM Charter School.
Her most current professional role is as Executive Director of the Coalition for Wisconsin Charter Schools, a collaboration of organizations that support the growth of high-quality public charter schools in Wisconsin.
