’Black Nativity’ returns to Milwaukee for 9th annual production
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Polish pride is on full display Monday night at Kochanski's Concertina Beer Hall in Milwaukee.
They're celebrating what's called Dyngus Day. Dyngus Day is the annual post-Lenten bash that falls on the Monday after Easter.
It's a Polish holiday where people gather to commemorate spring, eat pierogis and dance to polka music.
"So there are places all over the country that do Dyngus Day and this place made the top 10 places to celebrate Dyngus Day," said Andy Kochanski, owner of Kochanski's Concertina Beer Hall.
The bar owner says Buffalo, New York reigns supreme as the Dyngus Day capitol of America.
