Kids take to the street for Voice Over Violence march

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kids with the Boys and Girls Club hit the streets of Milwaukee for the second annual Voice Over Violence March.

Organizers say it gives youth a platform to speak up against violence.

The rally also starts a conversation within the community.

"We don't need no mothers crying. We don't need no children dying. You know, that's the message, the message is you know, when the community loses a loved one, we all suffer," organizer Khalil Coleman said.

About 30 students from Daniels-Mardak Boys and Girls Club took part in Thursday's march.
