Kids, Cops and Costumes in Milwaukee

Some of Milwaukee's real heroes came to the rescue Saturday making sure kids had plenty of Halloween fun. It's called "kids, cops and costumes" and it’s an easy way for the Milwaukee Police Department to show off their headquarters and let kids know they're here to help.

"In many cases, officers are coming into troubled scenes and family members and children, they see officers enforcing the law or trying to deal with a chaotic scene. This opportunity gives us a chance to shake hands with kids, give high fives, hand out candy and just interact with them in a positive way," said Captain Jutiki Jackson.

Of course, it doesn't hurt when there's a haunted house and all sorts of sweets involved.
