Kenosha mom charged in the death of her two children
The woman who’s accused of killing her two children was formally charged in Kenosha Thursday (Sept. 17). She faces two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of false imprisonment and two counts of administering a dangerous drug.
Officers arrived at the home on 33rd avenue and found a pool of blood on the floor, and several bloody notes on the walls including one written in Spanish that read to "My love Javier," according to the criminal complaint.
Javier Arellano is the children’s father. He found Alicia Arellano, 3, and Javier, 1, dead inside the home when he arrived from work and was the one that called police.
Lucia Hernandez-Alvarez had stab wounds on her arms after a failed suicide attempt on Saturday in her Kenosha home, according to police. She was taken to the hospital where she was treated and booked into jail.
The document also states, Hernandez-Alvarez confessed to the killings, said she had been sad for the last year. It also states she used Tylenol and Motrin to drug the small children. “It was all me, I did it,” the document states.
She also stated she took five to seven shots of tequila and took pills. Hernandez-Alvarez said she had relationship problems with Arellano and “suspected him of cheating on her.”
