Kenosha man arrested for OWI with child in car after driving while smoking weed

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 49-year-old Kenosha man has been arrested by Wisconsin State Troopers for OWI with a child in the car.

The incident happened Sunday, January 13 just before 5:30 p.m.

A trooper stopped the car on Highway 50 just east of I-94 in Kenosha County for driving with a headlight out. 

When the trooper approached the car they smelled marijuana. After a search of the car a field sobriety test was conducted. 

The man was arrested for OWI and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. A child under the age of 16 was also in the car.
