KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An attempted murder suspect is accused of shooting a man during an argument over a parking spot. 

Thirty-seven-year-old Jeremy Williams is charged in Kenosha County, but he was arrested after a police chase in Wauwatosa Feb. 12. 

According to the criminal complaint, Williams confronted the victim near 61st and 11th Ave. in Kenosha back on Feb. 11, threatening to shoot the man if he didn't move his car. Investigators say the victim was parked in the middle of the road at the time, to let people out of the vehicle. 

The victim responded, "Shoot me," according to prosecutors, who allege Williams then fired his weapon, striking the victim, before getting into a vehicle and leaving the area. 

In an interview with investigators, the complaint says Williams said he and the victim knew each other. 

Williams is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide, first degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and disorderly conduct. 

Court records show he was convicted of strangulation and suffocation in 2011 and prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm.

He's being held on a $750,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20.
