KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An employee at a day care facility in Kenosha has been arrested on suspicion of child abuse. This, after authorities say a child was picked up from Rising Stars Academy Day Care in Kenosha with bruises on their back and arms. 

The Kenosha Police Department says, 26-year-old Nour Al Thafir was arrested Tuesday, June 3 for one count of child abuse. 

Officials say the mother of a 2-year-old boy at the day care reported finding bruises on her son when she picked him up in late April. 

The Kenosha Police Department opened an investigation alongside Wisconsin's Department of Children and Family Services. 

Al Thafir is currently in custody in the Kenosha County Jail.
