Kenosha County sheriff: 2 dead, 1 seriously hurt in Village of Somers crash
KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people are dead and one seriously hurt following a crash that happened in the Village of Somers on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department said around 3:42 p.m., a Subaru was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on State Highway 31, when it struck a Honda attempting to turn west from State Highway 31 onto 35th Street.
The driver and sole occupant of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified him as 59-year-old Timothy Warden of Kenosha.
The passenger in the Subaru was also killed in the crash. He was identified as 37-year-old Jeremy Sander of Kenosha.
The driver of the Subaru, a 26-year-old woman from Beach Park, Illinois, was transported to a hospital for serious injuries but is expected to survive.
The crash is being investigated by Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department detectives and the operator of the Subaru is cooperating.
