Kenosha Co. Board chairman, accused of stealing hundreds from Menards, pleads not guilty

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kenosha County Board Chairman Daniel Esposito was bound over for trial on a retail theft charge on Wednesday, Dec. 18. 

He's accused of stealing $600 worth of roof coating from a Menards store in November. 

According to police in the criminal complaint, Esposito first claimed that he paid for the material but could not produce a receipt. 

At his preliminary hearing Wednesday, a not guilty plea was entered. 

Jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 24.
