Kenosha arrest reveals suspected drug trafficking, illegal firearms
KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha Police Special Investigations Unit, collaborating with patrol officers, have announced that they apprehended Jessica Lambin on multiple charges related to drug trafficking, narcotic possession and illegal firearms.
A search warrant executed at Lambin's residence near 45th St. and 20th Ave. revealed a significant stash of narcotics and weapons.
This operation took place on Thursday, Sept. 7, following a traffic stop carried out by two officers. A K9 officer was brought to the scene, reportedly signaling the presence of narcotics during an open-air sniff around Lambin's vehicle.
According to a Tuesday, Sept. 12 press release from the Kenosha Police Dept., officials found large quantities of narcotics, which included almost 18,000 grams of THC, 42 THC edibles, 70 THC carts, 931 grams of THC butter and 1,060 grams of THC wax.
Other drugs reportedly seized included 187 M30 pills, 84 Kratom pills, 14 Clonazepam pills, 727 Gabapentin pills, three Oxycodone pills, 618 grams of psilocybin, 742 hits of LSD, 8.94 grams of meth and 28.3 grams of heroin.
Additionally, officials say that one M&P 15 rifle, two handguns and around $15,300 in cash were recovered.
Lambin faces multiple charges including one count each of maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and THC, possession of narcotic drugs and possession of cocaine. She is also charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and seven counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
Authorities indicate that the investigation is still ongoing.
