Kemps donates 800K shelf-stable milk cartons to Midwest food banks, including Milwaukee 🥛

CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kemps, a Cedarburg-based milk brand, has announced a donation of over 800,000 shelf-stable "Giving Cow" milk cartons to Midwest food banks, responding to the food insecurity faced by more than 427,000 Wisconsinites, including upwards of 142,000 children.

The donation, carried out in partnership with Pick ‘n Save and Metro Markets, includes a delivery of over 36,000 milk packs to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

The cartons will be distributed to food pantries and shelters across 35 counties, including Milwaukee, following the Wednesday, July 12 donation deliveries.

These "Giving Cow" cartons, ultra-high temperature pasteurized 8-ounce milk packs, have a shelf life of up to 12 months, making them particularly beneficial for food banks with limited cold storage capacity.
