Kaminsky sets Badgers school record in win

MADISON - Nothing could have prepared Frank Kaminsky, or the Badgers fans in attendance at the Kohl Center, for what would happen Tuesday night.

Kaminsky, a seven-footer who has seen increased minutes early this season, couldn't miss. He attempted six threes. He hit every one. And by the time Kaminsky's scoring flurry was over, a Badgers school record had fallen.

The junior scored 43 points, breaking UW's record of 42 set by Michael Finley and Ken Barnes, hitting 16-of-18 shots and propelling the Badgers to a 103-85 win over North Dakota. The Badgers scored 100 points in a game for the first time since 1995, and the first time ever under Bo Ryan.

Sam Dekker added 19, but the buzz was about Kaminsky, who became the lead story on a national sports program Tuesday night thanks to his unexpected outburst of points.

The Badgers are now 4-0 on the season. They host Bowling Green Thursday evening at 7:00.
