Trimborn Farm’s lime kilns and their role in building Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A local organization that usually works with food is changing things up a little bit to help those working on the front lines of the pandemic.
Just One More Ministry is making high-quality masks to protect people from COVID-19.
The group is working to get the kits into the hands of volunteers who will put the masks together.
Just One More Ministry usually works with food donations, but for now, they're expanding their mission.
"It is an estimated 15-20 hours of work, and so it's good to divide up amongst a group," said D.J. Rodrian. "And they love it, they feel like they're doing something, they're sitting around, they're restless and it really has been well-received."
This is part of a campaign called One Million Masks, and they're looking for more volunteer families.
