Just Missing out on Wednesday's Big Snow Storm

When it comes to weather, it's all about timing, timing, and timing.  And placement of storms.  In the next day or so, we're watching low pressure move out of the mid-Mississippi Valley and into the Tennessee Valley.  It will then push into eastern Canada on Thursday.

This type of scenario will provide snow for much of lower Michigan with some spots getting more than a half foot.  We'll be on the back edge of the storm with the potential for Lake Effect snow, mainly along the lakeside counties.  Accumulations will stay below an inch.  Winds will be whipping from the northeast at 20 to 30 mph.

The weather quiets down for the end of the week.  Then snow chances are back in the forecast early next week.  The CBS58 weather team will keep you updated.  In the meantime, download the free CBS58 weather app to keep track of any storm when you're on the go.
