Jury finds former teacher guilty of child sexual assault charges

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A jury on Monday found a former teacher guilty of three counts related to sexual assault of a child.

Kevin Buelow, 49, was once a teacher at St. Matthias Parish School in Milwaukee.

He was found guilty of fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault of a child and attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child after officials say he inappropriately touched two students during tutoring sessions in the church basement.

Court records show a cash bond has been revoked.

Buelow will be held without bond pending a sentencing hearing on Jan. 19, 2023.
