MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Deliberations are underway for the man charged with gunning down three of his neighbors.
“He suffered from the mental disease or defect and that had the required effects upon his action so for that reason judge I'm asking you to direct verdict in favor of Mr. Popp,” said the defense attorney in closing arguments.
Those arguments in the trial of Dan Popp wrapped up Thursday morning.
Popp is accused of shooting a Hmong couple and a Latino man at an apartment in March, 2016. The family of two of the victims is expected to speak once a verdict is read.
