Jingle Bus for Milwaukee Holiday Lights is Back
Now through December 30, holiday revelers can hop on board the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival’s Jingle Bus tour presented by Meijer for just $1 per person to marvel at the radiant lights and sights throughout downtown Milwaukee. The inexpensive, 40-minute tour runs Thursdays through Sundays from 6 to 8:20 PM, starting at the Festival’s Warming House at The Shops of Grand Avenue—275 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Narrated by a Milwaukee Downtown Public Service Ambassador, Jingle Bus riders learn about key downtown landmarks, places of interest and three decorated Milwaukee County Parks—Cathedral Square Park, Pere Marquette Park and Zeidler Union Square.
Each of the adorned parks represents a different festive theme. Cathedral Square Park hosts “Community Spirit Park,” displaying thousands of handmade ornaments by local students from 75+ metro Milwaukee schools. Pere Marquette Park, located at West State and Old World Third streets, shines bright with “Snowflake Sparkle Square,” and Zeidler Union Square, located at West Michigan between 3rd and 4th streets, hosts “North Pole Power Depot.”
“Downtown Milwaukee is bursting with holiday happenings this season,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. “The Jingle Bus is a convenient way for guests to admire all the newly lit scenes while learning about our fabulous downtown and its offerings.”
Tickets for Jingle Bus rides may be purchased with cash only and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis each night beginning at 5:30 PM at the Warming House. Awaiting Jingle Bus riders can enjoy festive melodies from an 18-piece animatronic symphony orchestra of bears, as well as complimentary holiday punch and Happy Dough Lucky donuts. Children also receive a holiday coloring book. Discounted parking is available in The Shops of Grand Avenue’s attached structure at a rate of $3 until 11:59 PM with a Jingle Bus validation sticker.
