MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Families across our hometowns were able to receive all their Thanksgiving essentials at the Jewish Community Pantry Thursday.
The pantry teamed up with other local organizations like Feeding America and Hunger Task Force to make it possible.
As part of this "Community Joy Day," guests received turkeys, fresh produce, and other Thanksgiving classics.
In addition to the food, baby products, personal hygiene items, and other essentials were available on site.
"We're here to make sure people have a dignified, respectful holiday meal with all the fixings," said Heidi Gould, Jewish Community Pantry director. "Fresh produce, turkey, eggs, butter, all the items they may need."
The Jewish Community Pantry will host another Community Joy Day event Dec. 18, from 9 a.m.-noon, in preparation for Christmas.
