Jesse Vang pleads not guilty to chronic child neglect

MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jesse Vang, the man who reported 3-year-old Elijah Vue missing from Two Rivers nearly two months ago, was back in court on Tuesday, April 16. 

Vang has been officially charged with chronic neglect of a child in connection to Vue's disappearance. In court Tuesday, Vang pleaded not guilty. 

Investigators believe the child was at Vang's house in February. Officials say the boy's mother, Katrina Baur, had sent him there to be disciplined. 

Vang told investigators the toddler left the house while he was sleeping. 

Baur, who remains in custody in Manitowoc County Jail, pleaded not guilty in March.
