CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- For the second time in a year, Jennifer Clark, the owner of Jen’s Sweet Treats in Cudahy, is giving back to a fallen officer’s family. On Tuesday, Jen committed to donating all of her proceeds to Officer Matthew Rittner’s family.

“It’s the right thing to do,” she said.

Before the doors of her bakery opened, she had already raised more than $10,000 for the Officer’s family through preorders.

Throughout the day, Jen kept busy working around the clock to take orders and bake the goods all herself. Even when the baked goods ran out, Jen stayed open taking orders for pick-up with all the proceeds going to the Rittner family.

“This is so heartwarming,” Jen said. “It just brings me to tears that so many people care so much.”

Customers from all over the surrounding area to honor the fallen officer whose death hit too close to home for many.

“I actually have a girlfriend whose husband is a police officer and if she lost him I don’t know what we’d do,” Erin Dyszelski, customer, said.

“We just heard his story and just having little kids it makes you think what his wife is going through,” Denielle Beilfuss, customer, said.

Even though Jen's Sweet Treats sold out of baked goods on Tuesday, you can still call or come in and place an order Tuesday for pickup later in the week and all the proceeds will go to Officer Rittner's family. The bakery closes at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Other Milwaukee-area businesses are honoring the fallen officer.

The Packing House Restaurant in Milwaukee will hold a fundraiser in honor of Officer Rittner on Friday, February 22. Ten percent of all food sales that day will be donated to the Rittner family.

Donations for the family are also being accepted at any TCF Bank branch. The title of the account is "Family of Matthew Rittner." There's also a GoFundMe page that has been certified by the Milwaukee Police Department.
