Jellystone Park will open for Christmas Carnival of Lights November 25

CALEDONIA, Wis. (CBS 58) – Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is bringing back The Wisconsin Christmas Carnival of Lights to Southeastern Wisconsin this year with more lights. The light show will open the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 25, and stay open until December 31.

The light show will have more than 1.5 million twinkling lights and spectacular holiday scenes, from life-size gingerbread houses to Green Bay Packers and patriotic-themed displays, including a 50-by-30-foot American flag choreographed to holiday music.

Families can enjoy the mile-long trail from the comfort of their vehicles or from Santa’s sleigh.

New displays include “Evy the Talking Christmas Tree,” a popular, animatronic, seven-foot character who made his debut last year and talks and sings to visitors of all ages.

Santa’s giant sleigh seats 43 guests in tiered and comfortable seating and travels  through the light show giving families the opportunity to experience the show in a whole new way. Reservations can be made at www.wichristmascarnival.com/sleighrides.

Hours for the Carnival of Lights are from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Entry fee for carloads up to eight people is $20, $30 for limos, mini buses and large passenger vans, and $35 for greyhound and other large buses, and large motor homes.

Monday, November 27 is Military Monday & Senior Night- Bring in a military ID or Seniors 65 and up bring an ID, and show it at the gate to save 75 percent off of single car admission. With this discount, admission is $5 for one carload of up to eight people. Discounted price for large passenger vans, mini bus, limos is $20; and is $25 for large coach/motorhomes.

Tuesday, November 28 is Teacher Appreciation Tuesday- Teachers, aids, principals and those shaping children’s education: bring a school ID and present at the gate to save 50 percent off single car admission. With this discount, admission is $10 for one carload of up to eight people. Teachers’ discounted price for large passenger vans, mini bus, limos is $20; and is $25 for large coach/motorhomes.

Thursday, November 30  is Service Personnel: EMS, Firefighters and Police officers. Please bring an ID and present at the gate to save 50 percent off single-car admission. With this discount, admission is $10 for one carload of up to eight people. Service Personnel discounted price for large passenger vans, mini bus, limos is $20; and is $25 for large coach/motorhomes.
