Baseball phenom Jarred Kelenic made Wisconsin history Monday night when the Mets picked him 6th overall in the MLB draft. Kelenic is the first Wisconsin player to be drafted in the top 10 straight out of high school. He's also the 2nd highest drafted player to ever come out of Wisconsin.
Kelenic watched the draft with his family and friends. Click on the video to see their emotional reaction to the life-changing news. MLB.com estimates that the Mets will pay Kelenic $5.5 million.
The Brewers took shortstop Brice Turang with the 21st overall pick. Like Kelenic, Turang was drafted straight out of high school.
