RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A European-based manufacturer is expanding in Racine.
Jacquet Metal Services announced a new development at a 10-acre site at the city's southside industrial park on Tuesday.
The $11 million development includes two buildings and the development will create 12 jobs.
Racine Mayor Cory Mason says he's glad manufacturing continues to grow in Racine.
"Racine is a city that has amazing, hard-working people but the number of manufacturing jobs, like in other Midwest towns, has declined. So to see a resurgence in some manufacturing jobs is a great bit of news for the entire community," said Mayor Mason.
Jacquet is a stainless steel and nickel alloy processing company based in France. Their Midwest operations have been in Racine since 2007.
