MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The energy out here is great. There are hundreds of people playing games and enjoying delicious food.
The big difference this year is that the festival is being held at the Italian Community Center and not at the Summerfest grounds that you may be used to.
Festival organizers say the reason they switched locations is mostly financial after losing money from the pandemic.
Despite the changes, they're grateful for the outpouring of support they've seen from the community.
"Our whole purpose of doing it was for the community to share our Italian culture, our food, our families, our traditions with the Milwaukee community. That’s something that’s very important to me, and to our board of directors and our membership," said Festa Italiana Director Rose Anne Ceraso Fritchie.
If you want to check it out for yourself, the festival runs until 11:00 p.m.
You can also come tomorrow anytime from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Admission is five dollars.
