MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have won a do or die Game 5 twice. The 1982 ALCS to go to the World Series. And the 2011 NLDS. CBS 58's Lance Allan spoke with Ryan Braun this morning on how to handle moments like this.

"It is nearly indescribable. It is so much fun. So exciting," Braun said.

"You know, some combination of all the emotions.  Excitement.  Enthusiasm.  Nerves.  Anticipation.  As a player?  This is what you live for.  These are the opportunities that only come around so often. And the longer you do it?  The better perspective you have on that.  And so I think, the more, you know just focus and intensity and commitment to your process you have to have for those days to put yourself in the optimal position to be successful.  And to realize that when you fully focus on your routine?  It takes away some of the nerves and adrenaline.  Is it as loud as a jet taking off when the fans are into it?" Braun went on to say.

The former Brewers All-Star said that not many things live up to this type of playoff moments.

"Yeah, I mean there are very few things that are comparable that I've ever experienced in my life, in a win or go home type scenario and atmosphere environment.  You know, it's deafening.  It's hard to even hear your teammates sometimes when you're ten feet away from them.  It's something that very few humans ever get to experience.  And I'm sure everybody on the Brewers will have that."

The Milwaukee Brewers take on the Chicago Cubs Saturday night in a winner takes all Game 5 of the NLDS. The winner advances on to play the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS.
