It is a free family festival that will feature a children's parade, talent show, singing competition, amazing food, shopping and more!

It's Saturday, August 15th at Milwaukee's Humbodlt Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Festival organizers Purnima Nath and Suresh Krishnaiah were lives guests on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m.

Both spoke about bridging a gap through cultures by sharing your own.

Inclusiveness is very much a part of the event.

Nath noted how India is the most diverse country in the world. Every state is unique in language, traditions, religion, clothing and history.

She realized a need for a platform, advocating south-asian Indian culture and that how the event was born.
