India Fest in Milwaukee's Humboldt Park Saturday, August 15
India Fest is a celebration of culture that began three years ago and has only grown over the year.
It's a celebration of food, music, dancing, art and culture of India.
It is a free family festival that will feature a children's parade, talent show, singing competition, amazing food, shopping and more!
It's Saturday, August 15th at Milwaukee's Humbodlt Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Festival organizers Purnima Nath and Suresh Krishnaiah were lives guests on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m.
Both spoke about bridging a gap through cultures by sharing your own.
Inclusiveness is very much a part of the event.
Nath noted how India is the most diverse country in the world. Every state is unique in language, traditions, religion, clothing and history.
She realized a need for a platform, advocating south-asian Indian culture and that how the event was born.
