IKEA Oak Creek groundbreaking set for June 29th

The Oak Creek IKEA is on track to open summer of 2018!

IKEA will break ground on Thursday June 29th on its future Oak Creek Store.

When the 291,000 square-foot store opens near I-94 and Drexel Avenue, it will be the 48th Ikea store in the US.

Roughly 250 people will be employed at the new store.

According to a press release, the future IKEA store will feature 3 model home interiors, 50 room settings, a supervised children's play area, and a 300-seat restaurant serving Swedish specialties. Other family-friendly features will include a 'Children's IKEA' area in the showroom, baby care rooms, play areas throughout the store, and preferred parking.

The groundbreaking ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. on June 29th.
