ID still not required to vote in Wisconsin

MADISON -- A recent State Supreme Court ruling has left many confused on the issue of Voter ID. Justices ruled that Wisconsin's law requiring voters submit identification before voting has been ruled constitutional.

Due to a pending ruling from federal court, the law is still not in effect. This means that voters will not have to show photo identification to cast their ballots on August 12, 2014.

Among the August 12 primary elections are the Democratic Gubernatorial Primary between Brett Hulsey and Mary Burke. Whoever wins this election will face Scott Walker in this fall's Governor's race.

For the second time Milwaukee Police Lieutenant Chris Moews is challenging Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke.

Democrats Susan Happ, Ismael Ozanne, and State Representative Jon Richards are facing on in the Democratic Primary for Wisconsin Attorney General. The winner of this primary will face Republican Brad Schimel in November.
