MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A pregnant woman was hurt in a hit and run crash near North 66th and Glendale Avenue on Friday.
"I heard a loud boom," said Ernst Carney, neighbor.
Surveillance video captured a Buick LeSabre driving on Glendale Avenue when the car was hit by a stolen Chevrolet Malibu. The LeSabre hit a light and police say a 22-year-old pregnant woman was trapped inside.
Shortly after the crash, people inside the stolen Malibu are seen running away from the scene. Ernst and another neighbor ran over to help get the pregnant woman out.
"The doors wouldn't open, the young ladies father was the one driving. He got in the back seat and kicked the door. We finally got the door open, got her out over the front seat and she was bleeding in the stomach," said Ernst.
Linda Ernest called 911.
"I held her hand until paramedics came," said Linda.
The pregnant woman was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital. At this time, we do not know how she or her baby are doing.
The Carney's say enough and enough and they want the reckless driving to stop.
"By the grace of God, I pray she is okay and her baby is okay," said Linda.
